UPSC IAS Exam Pattern 2014 Details:

The UPSC Indian Administrative Service Exam is divided into two parts:

(I)          Preliminary Examination- Objective Type (Qualifier)

(II)         Main Examination -Written Test

(III)       Interview/Personality Test

Preliminary Exam Pattern 2014:

IAS Selection Process:

Aspirants undergo the prescribed selection procedure which comprises following phases:
  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview
On the basis of performance in prelims and main both the papers a merit list is made and contestants get shortlisted on its basis.

After the shortlisted candidates are called for interview on which basis they get selection for IAS Post.
